There are a few members of the Society who look after the other members, known as Guardians. For newer members guardians act as guides, mentors and protectors but for older members guardians act as companions and assistants.
Stephen was assigned to Patrick, they had met a few times while Patrick was being initiated into the coven but after that he had been watching Patrick from afar. Stephen stood up and walked towards the door. Just as he was about leave, he turns to Patrick “when are you thinking of taking Tyler?” he asked with his hand firmly on the door handle
“6ish I think” Patrick said from the bathroom
[the next day]
Stephen needed to get close to Zane and he knew the perfect way. Stephen planned to possess Carter, a student in Patricks class and Zane's' casual hook-up.

Patrick pulled away with a smile "now that's what I call a hello" Patrick said
"Hello" Stephen said with a chuckle, "do you like him?" Stephen said looking down at himself
"Is he your new body?" Patrick said with raised eyebrows once again
"No this is" Stephen said as he shrugged off Dan's body, letting the hunks body fall to the floor.
"So you chose Zane?" Patrick said with amazement
