”And on one final note, there will be no bonuses this year. That’s not a choice made by me there are a lot of factors that go into whether or not bonuses are handed out during a fiscal year and this year there just wasn’t anything there.” Cole Andrew’s company flourished this time year, one of the products being sold includes Christmas themed items that were in high demand. The statement about not having money was just a lie and everyone knew it. Nevertheless, they put their heads down and went back to work.
”I don’t care about them, they have a job to do. A bonus will keep them from their job.” Cole said into the telephone, barely muffled by the window wall separating him from the floor. He wouldn’t even let anyone decorate the office with holiday related items because he considered it a distraction for him and for his employees.
Santa received a letter in the mail that touched him, especially recently after hearing about the insensitive treatment of workers in the world outside of the North Pole. His final stop was for himself, on top of a sky scraper containing the offices of Cole Andrews. Santa took the stairs down from the helicopter pad, finding it easier than jumping through some tiny exhaust pipe, and as soon as he walked into his floor the eyes of his employees who had remained after closing were lit up with shock and happiness. Santa waved at all of them and walked towards Cole’s office, closing the door behind him and then slowly turning the blinds down.
”What’s this?” Cole said, stepping away from his laptop as Santa closed the last of the blinds, ensuring that the individuals in the office could no longer see him.
”Well, Cole. It seems you’ve been on the naughty list for quite some time.” Santa said with a tone still cheery, but menacing as well.
”This is some bullshit. I’m calling security.” Cole picked up the phone and dialed, listening to it ring on the other side. No one picked up. Santa had delivered some special presents to them, keeping them distracted for as long as he would need.
”Not to worry, Cole. I won’t be doing you any harm. I’m just righting some wrongs.” Santa had moved behind him and then pushed Cole down in his luxurious office chair. Holding him by the chest, Cole looked panicked as Santa pulled his mouth apart and shoved his hand inside. Cole started to cry as Santa pushed himself farther inside, stretching out his mouth to fit his belly and Cole’s whole body bulged as it made room for Santa. The farther he got inside Cole the more he started to look deformed. Parts of his body inflated as another individual took up residence inside and finally as Santa’s black boots slipped beyond Cole’s lips and down his throat, the inflated sections of Cole started to move and adjust. Cole’s belly burst forward as Santa’s filled it and the buttons popped off like bullets. His chest followed suit, filling him up and ballooning outwards until Cole looked like a larger version of himself. His face no longer had a look of panic on it and instead a cheerful grin formed on his now chubby face.
He wandered over to a mirror hanging above the bar reserved for guests and special meetings and looked at himself. Santa knew people would be concerned by the suddenly weight gain and he started to massage his belly until his skin started to return to normal. Slowly, each part of him was sucked back into Cole’s taught form and that’s when Santa realized how much hair was on his body. He liked brushed his hand along the hair on his chest and massaged the last pieces of himself back into a normal sized form.
”Not bad, Cole.” Santa said with Cole’s voice. He turned towards a drawer and pulled out a suit to replace his stretched out one. As he dressed himself, he made sure he got a good look at his body before zipping up his pants and buttoning up his shirt.
With a smile he walked back out to his workers and raised his arms, “Go home, friends! It’s Christmas! Also, I’ve changed my mind about the holiday bonus. I’ll be paying you all myself.” Cole seemed to let out a chuckle that included a ho ho ho and the employees cheered, quickly packing up there things and heading home.
“Santa?” Someone said. Santa turned to see an employee with a coat wrapped around him and curiosity I’m his eyes. Santa, as Cole, placed his arms on this man’s shoulders and smiled.
“He got your letter.” He said and winked at him, sending him on his way. Santa spent the rest of that night writing checks in Cole’s name, occasionally needing to restart after signing as Santa H. Claus. Once he licked the last envelope, he went to the roof and placed the envelopes on his sleigh. The reindeer understood what they needed to do and with a whistle from Cole, they took off to deliver the last presents of the night.
Santa wiggled in his tight suit and looked at his watch. He had a Christmas party to attend to, or at least that’s what his new calendar said was in store for him. Cole lived a life of luxury and Santa decided to revel in it for the night. Fine wine and aged liquor burned his throat and he was particularly cheery around his old friends who has taken note of this change.
Escaping to the restroom for a moment, he looked in the mirror as he stuffed his shirt back inside of his pants.
”You’re going to stay like this, the cheery giving version of you, or I’m going to come back every year and make sure your being as giving as you can be.” Santa winked at his reflection and felt a pang of fear from the passenger within his body.
Returning to the party, Cole blended in well with his peered and at the end of the night he returned to his home. This building was just as luxurious as everything else he had come in to contact with and as soon as he laid him down to sleep he abandoned his body. Santa’s large cheery form appearing out of his mouth as Cole convulsed on the bed, tears streaming down his cheeks. Santa jumped onto the floor and looked back at the sleeping Cole before giving him a kiss on the forehead.
Santa looked up at the ceiling which now has a sleigh parked on top and using Christmas magic he slipped up and out of the fireplace until he was ready to load into the sleigh.
With the presents delivered and the holidays little bit cheerier, Santa added Cole’s name to a list of greedy men turned cheery a list he kept to himself, knowing that he needed to keep an eye on him, sleeping or awake.
