"Excuse me sir, can I see your quarantine pass?" he asked me as his fellow soldiers follow behind him.
"I'm sorry officer. It's just that I'm in a rush to get to my appointment in the hospital that I forgot to put my pass inside my bag." I said.
"Then I'm sorry but we need to escort you back to your apartment. Civilians who don't have a pass aren't allowed to roam around this days."
I comply to his demand as he escorts me to their jeep. Since they were only 5 soldiers guarding their checkpoint, his fellow colleagues ask him to watch over me as another on drives the mobile.
I watch him get on the back of the jeep as he wait for me to get inside. He flashes a smile as he assure me that everything's gonna be fine since I didn't do anything to object with their operation.
"Don't worry sir. We don't have to arrest you as long as you cooperate with us. You just need to make sure that you won't forget to bring your pass next time you need to go outside. This is virus is a real threat and we need the cooperation of the people in order to stop it from spreading."
I smiled back at him as the jeep starts to run.
I close my eyes to focus my mind. I scan his mind and look unto his memories. His name is Sergent Juaquin Sebaz and he's 25. He doesn't have any romantic relationship and his family live in a province. He was temporarily assigned here as part of the government's move to prevent the wide spread of the virus.
