Aliens from another world have been around longer than we have known and maybe even before human kind. They’ve been in hiding. Watching us from right underneath our noses and we’ve been blind the whole time. Their camouflage is slowly becoming distinguishable and they are coming out to confess their presence to the world. This is Not My Body: Alien Confessions.
“I highly doubt that they would just come out to us like that. They’re highly intelligent beings who have been able to hide here without us knowing!” Kevin was munching away on some Twizzlers as he watched the intro flash across the television screen. The series was new and had been advertised non-stop on almost every channel but it seemed like a hoax. I entertained the idea of aliens being real by just turning it on but it was beginning to interest me.
On the series premier we will be interviewing and showing you the life of a famous pop star. Justin Bieber. Who has secretly been a husk this whole time containing a creature from beyond this world.
The screen flashed white and then Justin appeared, his shirtless body flexing and posing. He spread his arms and then the voice-over officially started.
“Um, yeah, I’m ready. When I was younger, my family and I were desperately seeking a place to call home. Earth just so happened to be the closest planet available to us. Our planet had destroyed itself because we were abusing it. We used its resources and treated it like it was endless but we were wrong. We were barely able to make it here alive. When we landed, we were disoriented and were scared that we were in a hostile environment. That was when Justin was in his little boy phase, with his swooped hair and boyish charm. The moment he touched me I combined with his body. It was involuntary, actually, but it was the most amazing thing I had ever experienced. Human senses were something so new to us and then the adrenaline rush as I got to feel them all in one moment was amazing. Unfortunately, my parents did not make it. By the time I could find them their own body they had dried out because of the air.”
“This is a ton of bullshit. He’s reading off a teleprompter or something.” Kevin chugged some soda and then slammed the aluminum can onto the table. After Justin’s monologue the interviewer came onto the screen.
“Can you show us a little bit of yourself? I know that the atmosphere is a little tricky but just a little peek at your true form?”
Sure enough, Justin tilted his head back and his skin started to ripple as the creature controlling his body gathered itself beneath the skin of his chest and then it slithered up and out through his mouth. The creature was light pink and danced a little as it jiggled around Justin’s lips. With a slurp, he was sucked back inside. For some reason, I really enjoyed seeing the alien spread out underneath his skin.
“Wow, that is really something.”
“After I took him over, the pop-star thing ended up being a little troublesome. I didn’t know what it meant to sing and then I just used his voice. I got used to the whole thing after a while and it just became second nature. When I started to evolve as an artist was when I was most comfortable in my human skin. The boyish me was just me getting used to the body. This is who I want to be.”
It cut to another white background with Justin flexing and I was getting a little bit of a hard on. Kevin wasn’t having any of it and instead of finishing the short episode he went into the other room, leaving his trash all over my living room. The episode went on to talk about the history of his species and who they were. A gelatinous form that we now know can control the human form. They lived on a planet that had its own mind. The ground that they lived on was a living thing and when it committed suicide because of its treatment he was forced to leave. This was previously mentioned but it came back up with diagrams and animations. Justin came back on the screen to say one last thing before the episode ended.
“If you or anyone you know wants to come out of hiding, please call this number. We’re here for you.”
The number came up on the screen and Justin posed one last time before the credits rolled. I couldn’t tell if I was shocked or aroused but it was definitely something that I would be tuning in to the next time that the show came on. I cleaned up the mess that Kevin made and deposited the trash in the kitchen. I looked outside my window and could see the sky moving slowly and then Kevin tapped my shoulder.
“I have something to tell you.”
“Oh, god. You’re not an alien are you?” I joked as I turned around but as soon as I saw his face was when I knew I shouldn’t have said that.
“Yes.” His voice changed, his mouth opened and I blacked out.
